Third Thursday Lunch

Attending Overview

Join us for Third Thursday!

Butch_Kirven.jpgOur June Lunch and Learn features Butch Kirven Chairman of County Council as a part of our Community Insights Series: Greenville County Vision.

In the first half of this decade, Greenville County’s population grew by nearly 25%. It doesn’t take much to notice that the last few years has not changed that trend. With this growth comes many opportunities, but also challenges. In this update by Greenville County Council chairman, Butch Kirven, we’ll be given some insights into the plans for County Square redevelopment project as well as the current items on the County’s agenda.

About our speaker…

Butch Kirven and his wife, Diane, have lived on their small farm near Simpsonville for forty years. A semi-retired real estate appraiser, Mr. Kirven maintains an office in Simpsonville.

Mr. Kirven held no public office prior to his election to Greenville County Council representing District 27 in 2004. He currently serves as the Chairman of County Council, a post he previously held from 2005 to 2013. Mr. Kirven is a member of the Finance Committee and also serves as the chairman of the Greenville-Pickens Area Transportation Study Policy Committee (GPATS).
