Student Alumni Association

Who we are

The Student Alumni Association exists to provide valuable community as students learn to love and lead while transitioning into their role as alumni of BJU.

Meet the Student Alumni Council

The Student Alumni Council is a peer nominated leadership body that operates as a bridge between the Alumni Relations department and the student body. The council serves to implement the student alumni strategy.

Hi, I'm Anna Grace! I'm a sophomore, majoring in Spanish, with a minor in Teaching English as a Second Language. I'm from Greenville, SC, and I enjoy reading, sports, and travelling. I'm not sure what exactly I want to do after college, but hopefully it will involve travelling, meeting new people, and Spanish! I'm looking forward to serving on the Student Alumni Council this year.

I’m Nathan Swaim, a sophomore accounting major with a passion for people. I love skiing, reading, traveling, learning, and enjoying time with friends. Call me crazy, but I even love the challenge of classes! I’m looking forward to being Communications Director on the Student Alumni Council this year, and I hope to see the student body and alumni of Bob Jones become united in the pursuit of seeking Christ.

My name is Megan, and I am a Sophomore Theatre Arts major. During the school year, I enjoy getting to do some of my favorite activities and hobbies right here on campus: acting out scenes, working on productions, and hanging out with friends. One of my dreams is to be a professional actress at Sight and Sound Theatres. This year, as the Development Director here at the SAA, I am excited to see what God has in store for the BJU family, both on campus and abroad.

What We Do

Welcome Week

Promoting BJU should be one of the highest priorities of any student that is proud of their school. As Student Alumni, we are thrilled that you are choosing BJU to be your alma mater one day.

You will see us at check-in where you can learn more about the SAA and how you can go "all in" with your experience here at BJU and take ownership of what it means to one day be a #BJUgrad.

Make sure you stop by our table and say hello! We can't wait to see you!

One of the BIGGEST events at BJU is our annual Homecoming! We get to celebrate the past and look forward to the future of BJU during dozens of exciting events throughout the weekend.

As Student Alumni, we get to support a few specific Homecoming events and meet graduates of our soon to be alma mater! You can check out the Homecoming schedule for this year here. Opportunities to get involved will be posted soon!

Alumni Networking

Another big part of Student Alumni is to connect YOU with successful alumni of BJU. You will have opportunities to hear from alumni who are in your field and ask them questions about how their BJU degree got them where they are today.

Join us on Facebook as we regularly post interviews with a BJU alumnus. Be sure to check out #mentormonday!

Together Week

Together Week is one of the signature Student Alumni events in the spring on campus! It is a week of events - with each day focusing on a specific part of what it means to be an "alumnus" of BJU. We get to thank donors, hear graduate stories, serve our community and give back.

Together Week Schedule: Coming Soon!
